Apple Files Patents for a Bendable iPhone
Take for example, an Apple patent filing published this week outlining a method for making a bendable phone possible.
It’s incredibly likely that Apple may never deliver on these bendable iPhone explorations, but it’s fun to think about.
In the patent, Apple describes how a device’s display would be inside a “flexible encapsulation” capable of bending around an axis.
For apps such as iBooks, a gently bent display could also offer a more book-like, two-page reading experience.
Would the display bend outwards, like a folded newspaper, or inwards, like flip phones used to do?

Apple iPhone 8 in pictures: Renders and leaked photos
The bottom of the iPhone 8 also hosts a touch panel, similar to the Touch Bar on the MacBook Pro.
We got our first look of what the iPhone 8 could look like way back in 2015, even before the iPhone 6S was released.
The iPhone turns 10 this year and to commemorate the occasion, industry analysts are expecting Apple to skip the now traditional ‘S’ incremental upgrade and go straight for iPhone 8.
iPhone8Look.com has come up with this concept image of what it thinks the next iPhone could look like.
This first render was dreamt up by Jermaine Spit and gave the iPhone 8 two screens, one on either side.
