With Friday’s update, it makes it absolutely difficult for anyone to activate your phone number without the two-step verification.
The two-step verification is a six-digit passcode available to WhatsApp’s iOS, Android and Windows apps.
Absolutely no reason because it makes your WhatsApp account more secure and difficult for a third-party to access.
