NASA’s new telescope TESS to discover planets arrives in Florida two months before its launch

The new space telescope arrived in Florida two months before the planned launch in April. NASA officials said the TESS telescope, named TESS.  It was delivered by truck to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on Feb. 12, Dulles, Virginia, a subsidiary of Orbital Atc, which spent the past year building and testing NASA’s new telescope TESS.

in addition to,The new telescope is set to fly aboard the Space X Falcon 9 rocket on April 16 from Cape Canaveral Air Station.

as a result in,The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) is a class of explorers. In the first ever survey of all space objects, NASA’s new telescope TESS will identify planets between the size of the Earth and the gaseous particles. The main objective of the TESS mission is to find small planets with glittering host stars in the solar neighborhood, so that the detailed characteristics of the planets and their atmosphere can be determined.

as a result in ,TESS will monitor the brightness of more than 200,000 stars during its two-year mission, looking for temporary drops in brightness. TESS is expected to record more than 1,500 transient planetary planets outside the solar system, including a sample of 500 planet-size planets Earth and super terrestrial planets have a diameter less than twice the Earth’s radius. And explore the rocky planets TESS small glaciers that revolve around a variety of types of stars and covers much for so orbital cycles, including rocky worlds in the habitable zones host to their stars.

Partners in NASA’s new telescope TESS

The Major foundation in NASA’s new telescope TESS is the Massachusetts Institution of Technology (MIT), which stewards the principal investigator Dr.George Ricker, and the Lincoln Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Labor Laboratory is responsible for the cameras including lens kits, reagents, lens caps and a surveillance camera.

in addition to,NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center manages projects, systems engineering, safety and mission insurance. The orbital ATK (OA) is building and operating the spacecraft. And the mission operated from the OA Mission Operations Center (OA) The TESS Science Center. Which analyzes scientific data and organizes participating researchers, collaborating and working groups. It is a partnership between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Physics Department. The Cavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research, the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and the NASA Ames Research Center.

consequently,The archiving and processing of raw data is in the Mikulski Space Telescope Archive. Space Telescope Discovery of the outer planets by optical measurement.

NASA’s new telescope TESS will cover the sky through 26 surveillance sectors

  • Monitoring for at least 27 days per sector 24 ° x 96 °.
  • The 200,000 brightest stars repeated 1 minute.
  • Full frame images duplicated every 30 minutes
  • Map of the Southern Hemisphere in the first year.
  • Map of the Northern Hemisphere in the second year.
  • Interference of sectors in the Eclipse poles to the sensitivity of the planets. With the shortest and longest consecutive cascades in the JWST Continuing Viewing Zone (CVZ) in the James Webb telescope.

TESS monitors a unique high earth orbit (HEO)

  • Unobstructed scene of continuous light curves.
  • Each with 13.7 days per monitoring sector.
  • A stable orbital ring with 2: 1 moon orbit (TESS) completes two cycles around the Earth .
  • Thermal stability and low radiation.
  • TESS chosed by NASA as the Astrophysics Explore.

Why NASA’s new telescope TESS?

Tess’s stars will be brighter than those of the Kepler satellite. So it will be easier to identify the characteristics of the planets monitored by Tess through successive observations. These sequential observations will provide manifold measurements of the planetary masses. Their sizes and densities, as well as the characteristics of their atmosphere. Tess will provide us with key targets for more accurate characterization by the James Webb telescope as well as future terrestrial and space telescopes.

finally,The legacy of Tess will be a catalog of the closest and brightest stars hosting foreign planets with a transitory pass, which will include the most favorable targets for detailed research in the coming decades. Kepler Project has provided us with new results on the planetary enumeration of externals in our galaxies.
